These discs are typically made from durable, wear-resistant materials like rubber or steel. Cleaning Action: As the conveyor belt passes over the V-shaped comb idler, the individual discs rotate. The gaps between the discs, combined with the rotation and the pressure from the belt, effectively dislodge and shed sticky, wet, or abrasive material that has adhered to the underside of the belt after the discharge point.
