8D Series Cast Iron QD Bushing Sheaves Pulley for "D" Belts

8D series 8-groove QD bushing pulley is made for D series classic v belt and D belt; They range in diameter from 12.64 inches to 58.64 inches. Depending on the pulley size, they use J, M or N QD (quick disassembly) bushings, which we also have in stock. Most of our 8D QD pulleys are made of high strength grade 35 cast iron, phosphate coated and coated with anti-corrosion paint. All these are balanced at the factory to ensure smooth operation of the machine.

Precautions for tapered pulley assembly Tapered sleeve pulleys have many application advantages. Even if the inner hole and chain groove are damaged during long-term operation, they can only be repaired by replacing the tapered sleeve with a precise specification, thus reducing the subsequent maintenance cost. Precautions for assembly of taper sleeve pulley: (1) The first cleaning before and after the assembly of the conical sleeve pulley must use gasoline to ensure that the parts are clean and dry, and that the mating surface is tight without oil stains and has sufficient friction. (2) Before assembling hexagon socket head bolts, they should be cleaned and dried with gasoline. Do not apply lubricating oil or grease to the bolt or screw hole to ensure that the bolt has sufficient friction and self-locking capacity after tightening.
(3) When the three hexagon socket head bolts are to be installed, they need to be tightened in turn to ensure that the tapered sleeve is subjected to uniform axial force and that the pulley and the tapered sleeve are coaxial. (4) Before installation, check and measure the length of the hexagon socket head bolt for assembly to ensure that the assembly bolt can bear the bottom of the blind hole of the conical sleeve after being tightened, so as to ensure that the conical surface is closely matched, and ensure that the bolt is subject to the reverse thrust of the bottom of the blind hole, resulting in double locking effect, which is the same as the principle of the nut. (5) After the conical sleeve pulley is tightened, check and adjust the relative positions of the driving and driven pulleys through the cable to ensure that the two pulleys are on the same plane and the belt tension is moderate. (6) The pulley cover shall be intact and firmly installed to ensure that the belt is broken or the pulley is loose and withdrawn during operation, thus leading to major safety accidents. (7) After years of long-term operation of mechanical equipment, the condition of inner holes and chain grooves must be checked regularly, which may be damaged. If defects are found, spare parts should be replaced in time.
